Drum roll, please…
We’re happy to announce that OCI logged 2,730 hours serving the community in 2024! Every employee completed 40 or more service hours last year, making a dedicated group effort to better the community.
Thank you to the OCI staff, our local partners, and everyone who made this possible. Together we can make a difference! 👏👏

OCI sponsored group volunteer activities throughout the year to encourage coming together in service. Some highlights included:

- Helping out at the Nebraska Humane Society (top)
- Making tie blankets to donate to those in need for the winter season (middle)
- Volunteering at Food Bank for the Heartland (bottom)
- Assembling backpacks for The Salvation Army’s Back-to-School Backpack Drive
- Gathering supplies and creating hygiene kits for Open Door Mission
- Writing letters to deployed soldiers
- Delivering Christmas cards to local nursing homes
Employees also found their own unique ways to be positive changemakers in their communities. A few of the ways they got involved included:
- Coaching youth sports teams around the metro
- Volunteering for various church groups
- Organizing groups to sort clothing donations for those in need
- Serving on leadership councils
- Cleaning up public parks, trails, and neighborhoods
