Drum roll, please…

We’re happy to announce that OCI logged 2,730 hours serving the community in 2024! Every employee completed 40 or more service hours last year, making a dedicated group effort to better the community.

Thank you to the OCI staff, our local partners, and everyone who made this possible. Together we can make a difference! 👏👏

OCI sponsored group volunteer activities throughout the year to encourage coming together in service. Some highlights included:

  • Helping out at the Nebraska Humane Society (top)
  • Making tie blankets to donate to those in need for the winter season (middle)
  • Volunteering at Food Bank for the Heartland (bottom)
  • Assembling backpacks for The Salvation Army’s Back-to-School Backpack Drive
  • Gathering supplies and creating hygiene kits for Open Door Mission
  • Writing letters to deployed soldiers
  • Delivering Christmas cards to local nursing homes

Employees also found their own unique ways to be positive changemakers in their communities. A few of the ways they got involved included:

  • Coaching youth sports teams around the metro
  • Volunteering for various church groups
  • Organizing groups to sort clothing donations for those in need
  • Serving on leadership councils
  • Cleaning up public parks, trails, and neighborhoods

OCI proudly hosted our 6th annual Lanes for Lane fundraiser in support of The Lane Thomas Foundation:

Thanks to your generosity and the dedication of our volunteers, we raised $82,181 for the foundation!

We are excited to bring back this special event again this year!
