BCBSNE Broker Update: New Med Supp Bonus, Change to MA Commission

Broker Update

Dear Brokers:

We wanted to let you know of an opportunity to earn a bonus for new sales of any Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE) Medicare Supplement plans as well as a change to our commission payment for new sales of our Medicare Advantage plans.

Please note the following changes:

Brokers who write new Medicare Supplement business (including conversions from BCBSNE Medicare Advantage plans) on or after Nov. 1, 2025 will receive an additional $500 bonus.
From Nov. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2025, we will apply expedited medical underwriting for all BCBSNE Medicare Advantage members (current or approved as of Oct. 31, 2025) who move to one of our Medicare Supplement plans. Follow the usual process for completing and submitting the Medicare Supplement application. To ensure an expedited application process, please do not fill out the Medicare Advantage questions; we will check if the member is within his or her “trial right” period.
We are suspending commissions on new sales of any of our Medicare Advantage plans effective Nov. 1, 2025. Commissions will be paid on any applications submitted into Connecture by Oct. 31, 2025. We will continue to pay renewal commissions.
